This is a tough one.

Can't help you with a cook. I guess just go out and hire one. One thought would be to contact some of the social service agencies like Goodwill and the like. They may have someone coming out of a vocational program that needs a job. they need a job and you need a cook. Could be a match.

With respect to a House mom, never had to find one of those before. I know that in the early eighties, SMU had a graduate student couple that lived inthe house and the arrangement seemed to work.

Another possibility is to arrange to meet with the Housemothers of the other fraternities, explain that you need to find one, and ask them if they have any suggestions. One of them may know of someone. Be sure to clear the meeting with the other house first so that it does not appear that you are 'poaching' their Housemother.
