My Northern California city is the interracial marriage capital of the California (maybe of the US, I'm not sure). For real, it's listed somewhere (Steeltrap, any clues?) that we have the most interracial marriages in the country. It's not a huge city, so this statistic was surprising when I first heard it. When I actually began to look around I found that it's pretty evident, especially in our growing suburban areas, that's it's true. Yes, I think the West Coast probably does have a different attitude about interracial dating, in general. Anyway, AA women dating Other Than AA men is becoming pretty prevalent in my area so it goes both ways which is, well, fair.
