Update for those of you that might want to know. The band is still planning on going through with this. HOWEVER, what they are now proposing is that the band will be one place and the guy who wants to committ suicide will be somewhere else where no one will know but himself so that they can't be considered a part of the suicide. It's also reported that they plan on doing everything over the internet.

I think they have a right to do it, and I think they have a right to do it on stage. To shut them down because they are speaking out on an issue you don't agree with is a violation of the first amendent.

The reason they can't do it on stage is because it's considered a felony. Here's a link to the latest info about what's going on. Here's yet another link. I hope you find these links helpful.

Thanks for the links.

I think they should stop "trying to save his life." People have a right to die whenever they want.

I hate publicity stunts that are like that.

There was one ine PHX, Az like 3 or 4 years ago for this radio station ( a hip/hop ghetto station) where they were going to a local community college and going up in a helicopper and drop 1,000 baby turkey (its was thanksgiving weekend) and who ever collected the most of the dead babies would get a prize. So every one was so mad. But I went there (wearing my animal have rights too shirt) and I saw them drop the turkeys.

They were those hand turkeys (where you trace your hand and the tumb is the head) and they were painted the stations colors. But they were so pathetic. I then relized that station could not afford the animal cruelities penalities and the law suites.

Its was just a stunt, and I guess it work, becuase every one was tunning in to them (right before rating season) and so many people showed up to the stadium.
