I miss not living in a house with 18 other women and always having someone's room to walk into and cry, laugh or bitch about life with. Also, I miss getting ready to go out and raiding each other's closets to find the perfect "bar" top to go with those size 6 jeans I'll never wear again (but an 8 is ok now!). And I miss all of my sisters who live far away and I don't get to see much. Thank god for the phone, email and IM

I miss recruitment and being in the loop of what's going on. I miss always having something to do.
I don't miss dues or Sunday night chapter meetings that ran late when you had an early class on Monday.

* having a couch to crash on during the day for naps!
* running into my sisters all over campus
* never feeling out of place because i've got a sister there
* our cook's three layer brownies

Well, I miss living in the house... we had such great times there, always someone to hang out with, cry with... I miss being around my friends 24/7. I miss socials, spur of the moment BBQs, hanging out on Frat Row, doing crazy things with my sisters...
Last year was my first year as an alum, and it was really rough. Our chapter does NOT have good alum relations, and National was trying to revamp the chapter (apparently they weren't happy with us not reaching Total, although we prefered being on the smaller side- i knew EVERYONE)- so the alum kind of got kicked to the curb. I know this year, the VP fraternity relations is trying hard to restart alum relations. I hope we can, because we're told that sisterhood is forever, not just in college. I feel it with the girls I graduated with and my little, but not with the current collegians. I want that to change.

The everyday mundane things. Like walking to class together, playing NCAA 1998. etc. I just miss the everyday mundane things.

I miss living with 14 of my best friends and seeing the others pretty much every day. I think that's the thing that's hardest to deal with about being alum. I only see some of my sisters once a year or so, which is really odd after seeing them every day for 3 years. But, I know that when I do see them, we fall right back to the way we were because of the special relationships we formed while in college.
Other than that, I'm an advisor, so I still get to go to meetings and rituals and all of that. I really haven't had the chance to miss those things!

Oh man, what don't I miss? The only thing I don't miss about college is the classes!
The crazy thing is, I'm still helping them out with everything. I went to help train the new VP/F Tuesday and I ended up staying for the COB. I'm so bad.

Summer vacation!
No, seriously...all of the above.
I was on the hall tonight and have them talk about their upcoming events made me want to live on the hall again!

There is so much I miss--
RECRUITMENT(though being the recruitment advisor ROCKS!)
ALWAYS having someone to go out with
Being able to say "who's here of us" and people knew what you meant
Random nights at fraternity houses
Late nights and no early mornings
Weekends that start on Wednesday
REAL WORLD MARATHONS(yes, I know those still happen but its just not the same!!)
There are so many other ones but I miss those the most!!

I realized today what I've missed the most. My birthday was always one of the very first of the school year, so we would always go out and celebrate a combination "welcome back to school/Honey's birthday" party! Legends have sprung from ghosts of birthdays past - and I miss it!!

Going along with that, mine was always one of the very LAST of the school year, and it was a way to celebrate before we had to buckle down for finals (because my birthday always fell right before our reading day!)....I miss that a lot, too

I miss...
All things ritual
Most aspects of recruitment (I don't miss work week!!)
Having sisters who live down the hall from me, or in the next dorm over
Being in the loop (my chapter is terrible about keeping alums informed )
Being able to wear my letters/badge without people thinking I'm trying to relive my college years
