Are you sure that you truly want a man of God?

Rainman - Most certainly I can answer yes to your question. I'm already married and I thank God daily for blessing me with this man. He is a saved and sanctified man of God. A woman can't say that she wants a Christian man if she hasn't studied the Word of God and knows exactly what that entails. Likewise, she must study the Word and understand what her role is in the relationship as well. I would have it no other way.

Some women say that they want a Christian man simply because they want someone who won't cheat on them, will take care of the household, children, etc. They are missing the bigger picture though.

I won't quote these scriptures, but anyone seeking marriage should truly understand the following scriptures:
Genesis 2:24; Ephesians 5:21-33; 1 Corinthians 13:4-7,13; Provervs 18:22

The following text is from a bible study that I attended last week where we discussed this topic.....
1. The ROOT of marriage is God's covenant with humankind that extends to us the opportunity to experience His perfect love.

2. The REQUIREMENT of marriage is that husband and wife submit to each other in love even as they do to the Lord.

3. The intended REWARD of marriage is an enriching relationship that provides both husband and wife with concrete evidence of the constancy of God's magnificent love.

I'll leave you with this...
"As for me and my household, we will serve the Lord." (Joshua 24:15)
