She cooks them damn things on New Years. I don't care HOW friggin cold it is, I leave the house when she puts them on the stove...and I stay out all day!
Oh yeah, not doing "the nod" when you see other black folx in the store!
In Canada and in Western Washington, I always do the nod and mouth "hi"...not many of us in the Pacific NW. Shocked to see there are 3 of "us" in my Alumnae Chapter.
