The Black Card?
Some posts over at DST have me thinking about this...what are the things that would cause one to lose their "Black Card" indefinitely? Can be serious or light-hearted...the post over at DST had me rolling (I would surely cite it but alas, I am too lazy to go search, lol :p )

We might have to ask Wayne Brady.... :p
1. Not liking any type of chicken ;) 2. Not viewing the following "The Color Purple" or "Boyz N Da Hood" 3. Never tasting Kool-Aid 4. Not having ANY relatives who are experts (or past experts) in one of the following Crown Royal, E & J or the electric slide. |

I've been told..............
Not knowing how to play spades.
I'm so tired of getting the look of death when I state "I can't play because I don't know how". :o People have tried to teach me, but I'm like eveybody has their own rules. I can't be bothered. Let's not forget how serious people can get about this game. I've seen tables get broken over it. I'll pass on all that fun and excitement. |
How about not knowing how to play dominos:confused:
Not liking Greens (any kind) not liking okra and cabbage |
Yeah not knowing how to play spades is an automatic revocation of the Black/Soul Card!
Also hating sweet potatoes! I do NOT like them in any way, shape or form. My grandmother asked me "are you sure you are one of us?" Do NOT even get me started about getting my card revoked for being a hockey fan! I loved hockey LONG before being married to a Canadian! :p |

I think
1. not knowing how to dance/ or have rhythm 2. changing your face(ask Michael Jackson:P) 3. If you talk "proper" as they say down South. Basically if you sound like an airhead or Alicia Silverstone in Clueless..like gag me with a spoon....lol Seriously, their are many faces of black folk. That's why I love our culture because it is so unique. Our ability to blend into other cultures and make it our own makes the black card the only soul card to carry.**raising my fist** Peace from Soul Sista #1 |
Don't get me started about talking proper  If I had a dollar for every time I was dissed I would retire by now!
And when G-d gave black folx rhythm, I was SO passed over! But I have only one thing to say to your post besides: http://www.superbabies.homestead.com/files/bow.gif http://www.superbabies.homestead.com/files/yourock.gif QUOTE]Originally posted by miss priss I think 1. not knowing how to dance/ or have rhythm 2. changing your face(ask Michael Jackson:P) 3. I guess I'm not black enough according to some of you all's standards. :( Jill, were we separated from birth? ;)
I'll take a shot: 1.You don't know the electric slide. 2.You dye your hair blonde. 3.You dislike chicken, especially wings. 4.You dislike kool-aide. 5.You can't double dutch. 6.Not supporting affirmative action (I'm dead serious about this one). 7.You listen to country-western music. |

Onethe real, we are such a diverse group of people (be you from the islands or not) that there really isn't too many things that will revoke one's black card. The only person who that has PUBLICLY done something to get their black card revoked would be: THE ULTIMATE UNCLE TOM-ASS Clarence Thomas Anyone else who hates being black and denounces being African, Black or Afro American gets their card pulled too. |
