Just a story,
In DC, a friend of mine was telling me that she walked past this club. There were police everywhere and an ambulance was on the scene. After asking the onlookers what happened, she found out that there was a huge fight in the club where several men commenced to severely beat another man. Turns out that the injured man had been seen throwing up the sign of Omega Psi Phi(sorry don't know what it's called) and there were brothers of that frat in the club. They questioned him and found that he was a perp. To me, excessive force wasn't necessary but I'm not in an org and can't say what it must feel like to have it disrespected in such a way. I'm sure that man will think twice about being a perp.
