Well since I live in VA, I wasn't affected by the power outage. But the power used to go out at my apartment complex all the time when they were doing road construction right next to it, so I know what it's like to go for hours without power. One time, our power went out when I was in the middle of cooking dinner, and it didn't come back on for hours, so I had to throw everything away. I had just bought it so I was pretty mad.
I can only imagine how bad it must have been to have entire big cities blackout... My first thought when I saw it on the news was, "Oh my... wouldn't it suck to be stuck in an elevator?" Glad nothing too serious happened though
