Not at the University of Alabama...I don't know of groups that participate in either.
In regards to your dilemma, I am not a Bama alum or a current student...however I know many people who go/went there, including my sister. If you're going to rush, it is imperative that you are there for all rounds. Rush is extremely competitive as I'm sure you are aware. I'm sorry that this is probably not what you wanted to hear, but I am being honest.
