We had several bomb scares and one device that was blown up in a contained explosion by the Bomb Squad when I was in law school. I think that law schools make easy targets b/c the professors are always on TV giving commentary.
CNN has an article here. CNN says it was in an empty classroom, not the mailroom, there were no injuries and that the building was empty at the time of the explosion.
