I just thought I'd update everyone on what is happening with the battle to save Rancho Los Amigos that Beth is involved. The judge has issued a preliminary injunction telling Los Angeles County they can not close Rancho. Yeah!!!
Rancho Los Amigos is a not only the number one Rehabilitation center but there is a lot of history tied in to it as well. It was a premier research institute when polio was epidemic across the nation. You may have seen in history books pictures of kids laying in these huge round metal tubes called Iron Lungs - more then likely that picture was taken at Rancho. If you're interested in history of anytype I suggest doing a websearch about Rancho Los Amigos and you will be surprised at how much medical breakthroughs it was involved in.
