Sorhor Kizzie22 and Friends of Sigma,

Yes, and I used to get so dizzy playing on that toy. I also used to love jumping rope, playing hop-scotch, and playing with my jacks.

I never liked Barbie's. I used to take their heads off LOL!
I also like My Little Pony, Rainbow Brite doll.
You know what doll always freaked me out...Cricket. Her eyes would move side to side. Just really weird!
I LOVED my Cabbage Patch Kids!! I think I had like 4 or 5 of em. I popped the heads off of all my Barbies. And I hated Cricket too--my cousin got one the same Christmas I got my boy Cabbage Patch. We took a picture together with both dolls and all you can see is Cricket's eyes. D@mn doll never knew when to shut up............My favorite doll was my Lil Miss Makeup. I played with her so much the makeup just stayed instead of disappearing and reappearing.

I had an Easy Bake Oven but never used it. That may have something to do with why I don't cook today. We did the keychain thing too.

Unfortunately Sorhors,

I left the toy era behind when Cabbage Patch dolls were first on the scene. I was in college having fun at that stage in my young life.

Smile What about....

@ Soror SeriousSigma...sis, girl Ssssshhhh! You telling on yourself! haha

I loved Chutes and Ladders and Candyland. Y'all remember hungry hungry hippo? That was the game boy.

What about summer toys? Did your family get the toy that turned your garden hose into a wiggly, whirling water toy? or did your dad just break out the garden hose and spray y'all with it? lol!

What about the slip-n-slide? How many people got broke on a slip-n-slide because there were rocks under the slide in the grass...lol

I'm surprised some of us made it to adult hood in one piece.

@Eclipse & Gina1201, *raising hand* I was a little nerd too. I used to love the school book fairs. I almost forgot about those until y'all brought it up. I love to read.

I still have the books I bought from those fairs. Some Charlie Brown titles, and a few other ones.

I loved race car sets with the tracks that never worked after the first day, my Pillow Person (I had Sweet Dreams), Treasure Trolls, my Fashion Star Filly (I had Chloe-I wanted the green one), and all my stuffed animals, and I still have all of them.

What's a magic eight ball?

I must say that I never had a porcelain doll or those scary clown dolls. I'm still afraid of those white face clown dolls. I just think about the movies "It" and "Attack of the Killer Clowns from Outter (sp) Space."

I recently got a 50th anniversary Candyland complete with 3D gingerbread people playing pieces, fancy cards and a 3D candyland castle. It came in a really pretty light blue canister and everything. I almost like it as much as my Monopoly anniversary edition.

My folks got that waterbug toy whose hair shot out water, and I have been scratched more than once with the waterslide. Well, at least we kept our yard pretty rock-free (maybe a smooth pebble here and there). Can you imagine folks who had bottle glass up in their yard??? Ouch!!!

I also had all kinds of playdoh. The playdoh barber shop, restaurant and everything. It comes in all kinds of neat colors now...

Has anyone said anything about Slinky??? Man, I would send that joker down the stairs all of the time.

Sorhor TRSimons,

You can get a Slinky at the local dollar store and they come in all different colors. However, they are made out of thin plastic! How do I know this fact? Well my students in Psychology do a play -day lab (Jean Piaget's Cognitive Development) and I have about thirty different toys that the students examine, of course, using the scientific method. Anyway, I have purchase so many different slinky toys over the past seven years that's its' not even funny.
