I can't think of St. Pats without thinking of the weekends at Ohio U. (see post under other St. Patricks thread), but also of O'Halloran's Tiperary Pub -- and Tommy and Cathleen O'Hollaran, the owners in Detroit.
It was a great little bar with live Irish music which was frequented by cops and we TV types.
I don't know if it's still there, but I still have the jacket they gave me when I left to move to Denver twenty plus years ago.
I also think of my paternal grandmother, Mary Edith McCombs -- one of the few non-drinking Irishpersons I've ever met.
