I agree. I don't think the teacher should be blamed...they can't be everywhere watching EVERY student. I'm not a teacher, but I hope to be soon. I find this very disturbing, and I'm asking myself what I would have done...still don't have an answer yet.
Someone needs to talk to these pre-teens/teens about sex and do something that's long lasting. Both of these kids sitting at home for 10 days does nothing, and who is to say that the girl won't do it again or continue doing it some other time. I wish they had Sex Ed in more schools. As HK1974 already stated, kids are BOMBARDED by sexual images ALL of the time. However, I think the best sex ed starts at home...and that means parents cannot be nervous or shy about answering questions about sex.
I think it's unfortunate, but definitely a wake-up call. Some people are still in denial about these young people having sex (whether it's oral, anal, whatever-it's all SEX) at a young age. It's happening people.
I have HBO Fam...is this new? I will be on the lookout for it. It sounds interesting.
