That's too bad about that pin!
We had a sister pin from the 20's (which is VERY vintage for us as D Phi E was founded in 1917) go on ebay for about $200 and I just felt sick--it was teh original design (without the pearls on teh outside; if you know what a D Phi E pin looks like which you probably don't - but will if you go to
www.dphie.org 
) and it was from one of our single letter Chapters too! Very rare, but also very expensive and I was too poor to bid on it.
Those pins have NO place on eBay; but hopefully whoever bought it is at least a Greek and will understand how important that pin once was to the Sister who wore it!
