Rapper Jay-Z has commented on the various rumors floating around about his relationship with Destiny's Child lead singer, Beyonce Knowles.
The rapper squashed rumors that they were on the verge of getting married.
"I used to see her all the time. We are not engaged by the way. We're just cool. We're just friends," Jigga told Playboy in the April issue.
"We don't really, ah, know each other like that. Me and [Memphis] Bleek, we're tighter. He's been with me since 1994. Between Beyonce and him? Beyonce's got to go," he continued.
Jay-Z went on to say that he was attempting to better his life and be a "decent citizen."
"I'm representing for the whole culture. A lot of people look at me like they looked at Martin Luther King Jr.," he said. "I'm not a saint--I did bad things. I f*cked up. I try not to do bad things anymore."
He continued in the interview, saying he was attempting to mature and grow now that he is wealthy.
"I'm trying to get grown up and not talk about figures anymore. I'm learning that the big cats don't talk about money, only us ignorant rappers."

And anyway, we know that that denial thing doesn't work anymore... I think that they are scared it will hurt their careers. You know that B is this big "sex symbol." He, on the other hand, is just.... He's just Jay-Z. Women want him because of the wealth. If the light hits him the right way, he has potential....

Aretha speaks! After weeks of stalling Aretha is finally speaking with authorites about a fire that destroyed one of her Detroit homes. Last week Aretha fired one of her lawyers who wanted her to keep quiet. Aretha says she wants to clear her name. Aretha was on tour at the time of the fire and she was never a suspect. It now appears that her 45 year old son, Edward Franklin and a bodyguard are going to be charged with starting the fire.
A producer for the Dr Phil show has died. A few weeks ago I mentioned how employees for the show were being overworked. A lot of employees are already undergoing therapy to deal with the stress because Dr Phil runs his employees ragged with super long hours. The producer was 28 years old and died of a heart attack.
KC Hailey of KC and JoJo and Jodeci fame opens up in the latest issue of Honey Magazine about his past relationship with Mary J Blige. KC says he wishes her the best with her recent marriage. KC says he and Mary broke up when her sister moved in. KC says at one point he didn’t know who he was dating, Mary or her sister. Hmmmmmm when did Mary get married? I guess KC spilled the beans.
Diana Ross is going to tell all. Diana has just signed a book deal to tell the real story of her life. A few years ago she wrote a book and it was fluff. In this new book Diana will talk about her drinking problem and how her family is helping her. She will also discuss the end of the fairytale second marriage to a Norwegian millionaire, her relationship with Motown Founder Berry Gordy and their secret love child. For years she told the world her first child was by her husband a white man, but her daughter Rhonda was the child of Berry Gordy. (What?! Like we couldn't tell by Rhonda's big a$$ eyes and teeth...that's Berry and Diana's genes mixed together. Diana should have shut her mouth about that lie )
Angie Stone is working on a follow up to her Lp Mahogany Soul. Angie says the next Lp will be called ‘Diary of a Soul Sister.’ Check out Angie on the cover of the issue of Essence Magazine.
What’s going on with Usher and Chili? Is the romance still on? I hear Usher may be losing a grip on his older love.

I din't think she had gotten married yet, I thought that they asked him about her upcoming marriage. Mary's been keeping her marriage to Kendu under tight wrap.

Soror, we are always on the same page!!! I said the same thing when I read that. What exactly is he trying to say?
A soror that I work with said that there was probably a rumor about beef between Beyonce and Bleek, and Jigga was just saying that between her and his boy, he'd choose his boy. Whatever. I need to see the entire article, cuz that sentence is definitely out of context. If we are discussing the alleged relationship between you and Beyonce, how does Bleek fit into the picture? Odd, indeed.

Yeah your only like thirty something, you might want to try growing up. Hopefully if someone starts actually talking about something in rap music other than how many cars, bling, dollars, etc. the bling bling phase of rap will die out. Look at Oprah, she has more money than most of those rappers can even rhyme about but she doesn't walk around bragging about it or wearing it all at one time. Sorry had to vent!
