All I know is that GTau was chartered in 1971. Gamma Phi wanted GTau since it is Ga. Tech, but IHQ wouldn't let them have it even though they were chartered shortly after us..forget year.
Interesting that Gamma Alpha is at UGA!! Of course, it's been around for decades!
