My boy and I usually make a big deal out of things with little cute notes and stuff...I used to be really uptight about us having plans, but I've really mellowed out as I've gotten older.
He's got the double whammy in Feb b/c my birthday is one week after v-day; I get itn Sept - his birthday is 9 days after our anniversary. So, we celebrate everything to keep it even
