sorry for the misiterpretation...this actually DID happen to us once... it was RIGHT after i pledged and A LOT of people weren't getting along and talking about other sisters behind their backs. our president at the time held a candle lighting... a candle lighting is when all the sisters sit in a circle (in the dark)and and pass the lit candle. you can ONLY talk when you have the candle... anyway, we passed it around and everyone just said what was bothering them... no one really pointed out people, but they just would say what had been bothering themm.. like the backstabbing or whatever... it really helps b/c all the sisters see how upset other sisters are and it really hurts. everyone felt like complete assholes when it was over. some didn't realize how much they were hurting others. everyone had a new respect for each other after that. that one night really brought us closer. another thing we did was pass out sheets of paper to every sister, then wrote our names at the top.... we sat in a circle and passed the papers around.. writing something NICE about the person whose name was on the paper, and sign your name after your "nioce words".. we wrote things like "christina is a great listener and always knows what to say"... or "betsy has such a great art talent".. things like that... when we all got our papers back, we realized how much we all loved each other and how much we were all appriciated. i hope these ideas were better. they worked great for our chapter and i hope you can use them too. by the way, it has been over a year and i still have my sheet of paper and i read it when i am feeling down about myself and it STILL makes me feel better!!!
