My insurance was cancelled on my birthday last year, even though I'd sent them several proof of enrollment forms. It took an act of god to get it reinstated. And then the company folded about a month later.
I also say "yay!" for universal health care. Its really hard for some people (including myself) to get insurance, even with conditions that aren't really that serious. I have scoliosis (curvature of the spine) and because of that I'll never be able to get health insurance on my own - I'll have to be part of a large group. So I pretty much have to stay in school, or be employed full-time until I get married, because I can't get it on my own
