We spent 2 nights in a Savannah B&B and the next night in a hotel in Tybee Island. The B&B prices are about the same as some hotels but I liked the atmosphere.
Juliette Gordon Low's house was very interesting. Maybe it won't be full of Girl Scouts, lol. She and I have the same birthday so I've always been interested in her. Did you know that she got a piece of rice stuck in her ear at her wedding and that resulted in her going deaf (okay, I hope I remembered that correctly,
).

Hilton Head SC is just up the coast!
Warning, it does get very hot and muggy in the summer! And look out for mosquitos.
