I knew it was over when I was in Atlanta to see the guy I was engaged to and a woman called the apartment and I made dumb, dumb drop me off to her apartment to speak with her. She and I had some drinks and she told me everything about him and how she did not know he was engaged to someone that lived in another state. After she and I were finished with our two-hour conversation, dumb, dumb picked me up from her apartment (they lived in the same apartment complex) he knocked on the door and asked for me and swore he did not know her. She looked at him and said to him how he had just spent the night with her and he looked at her and told her that he did not know her
The funny thing about it was that besides him being soooooooo stupid for taking me over there, I was happy that I had a reason for breaking off the engagement. When I gave him his ring back and got on the bus to go back home, A huge burden was lifted off my back. He got married less than a year after we broke up apparently to someone else he was dating. He still to this day is trying to get back with me but I'm not having it
