Here we call those mixers. You pick a fraternity and ONLY members of the fraternity and members of the sorority are allowed into the party. No boyfriends or brothers or roommates or any of that.
We kind of hang out with everyone equally, which is I guess what you get with such a small greek system.
On second thought that's not true. We have two fraternities running underground (Teke and Theta Delta Chi) who we can't hang out with at all, as per nationals and the alumna here. They got kicked off within the last year for a couple small offenses. There's also a fraternitiy that's down to three guys -- I actually couldn't tell you the name of their organization. Possibly Phi Kappa Lambda?
Anyway. With only four sororities and five fraternities, it's hard to be picky.
