It's ridiculous all of the fees that just pop up out of nowehere to pay for who knows what. First of all, I pay 150 bucks a SEMESTER to park 30 minutes from my sorority house, then if I illegally park they keep giving me tickets instead of towing me so I pay them and not some towing company, we also have a "printing quota" 500 pages for the entire year and then after that it's 30 cents per page, also we now have to pay 120 bucks a semester to use the Rec which was until this point, free for us. They also have cut back on the upkeep of our classrooms and they only clean the bathrooms every other day and the classrooms once a week. This summer my friend Sean spilled some coffee and it definately just sat there on the floor of our math class for severeal days. Ewww....and where is all this stupid money going? Oh that's right, to build a new basketball arena and Rec center that won't even be FINISHED while I'm around and also to build a STUPID bridge for the athletes to use to get to the athletic complex. But the funny part is, they built it too low so now they're ripping it down and re-doing it. Uggh....oh and not to mention they raised tuition to add on to all this. Grrrr.....
No wonder, noticing from your recent "random" post
we go the same school, but different campus.
My school's actually pretty good about not nickel-and-diming people. I think parking's about 50/year--and we're an "urban" campus. HOWEVER, tuition is a bitty--over 22K a year, but that covers everything except room and board--no extra charges for using the computer labs or anything. Everything's cleaned daily. We don't have to pay upfront for much, other than books (but don't get me started) and personal items.
As much as I complain, I guess I don't have that much to complain about.
22K! I don't live on campus so it's cheaper but I only pay probably around 1100 per semester for tuition and fees! Not counting books... I don't actually pay that though... I get a $700/semester waiver for being in the school's orchestra

isn't edumacation priceless? Sorry, I feel all your pain, you don't even wanna know what graduate school is doing to my non-existing wealth. Seriously though, charging students to park per credit, that's a very odd thing to penalize students who want to take more classes...
Good luck this year folks, hope you get your "dollars" worth er whatever the grand total becomes
Over here we have to pay $2 a day to park. For students that go 5 days a week that is $10 a week. 16 week semester comes up to $ 160 a semester to park. And of course tuition was raised 18% in the last year.
