What bullsh*t!
Mannnnnn WTF is wrong with our school?
I just saw a sign saying TODAY is the last day to use student charge, from tommorrow on if we need to get something we have to use CASH! I have insufficient funds (in other words, I'm po'). GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR This f*cking school is robbing us blind, sh*t! First, you have to pay 100% of your tuition in order to register. Then, we have to pay a third of NEXT semesters tuition in order to register. Last we have to pay like $25 per credit hour for our parking stickers. Whats next? GREEDY BAST*RDS! |

$25 per credit hour to PARK??? I would be a bus-taking mofo. |
Whoa!!!
Sounds like your school is po' too!!!
Have they published their budget lately? Where's it all going? |
You think that's bad! In my department, teachers aren't even allowed to copy syllabi on the school's paper! We have to print it up off the internet on our own dime.
|
and then, there's TENURE...................
|
Damn...I thought $150 to park was bad!! My school does make you pay your tuition before the first day of classes or they drop you from the register, but at least we don't have to pay up front in order to schedule our classes.
What school are you at, anyway? University from Hell??? |
Ummm, WOW. That is some garbage if you ask me. $150 to park???? That is ridiculous. Ours is like 20-30somethin a semester or is that a year? I don't know I never bought one, they don't care that much LOL. Man, that school better be the BOMB for that kind of drama. AT my school, say you're gonna geta refund check. Well, before you get your check which can take 4 weeks to four years depending, you can put up to $650 on your card to use in the boolstore. I guess we got it good.

This new 5 story performing arts building isn't making it any better. |
Dionysus- If it makes you feel better, we got it at 400something to park per semester. I know... it's mad. But we go to a city school. Then it's like 600 a credit. Mad ain't it? Then when you add the fact that they decided they can't afford to give us free printing anymore, they are going to charge us 7 cents per page to print, and most of the stuff we're printing are like 50 pages of articles that the professor wants us to read in lieu of giving us another book or supplementing some book. Sighs... I swear... all out to get the money.

I know this doesn't come close but I feel the need to post my irritation here. I attend a state school . . . I get my tuition bill to find a letter enclosed saying that they raised tuition by like $200 and added some technology fee of $100 . . . my department budget has been cut so I now have huge classes that should have been small and also due to the budget cuts my student job has been cut from 10 hours a week to 5 . . . WTF?!?!? First they raise the price of school, then they lower the quality of my education, and lastly leave me with no money to pay for it! ARRRRRRRGGGGGHHHHH! Thanks for listening!

Ouch! I feel your pain :(
Tuition gets jacked up every year, and IIRC, we had to pay each semester's tuition at the end of the previous semester. At the same time, we had to pay our dorm charges and house tax. Writing those big checks is not my idea of fun... I think the down payment on my house was less. My freshman year, parking was like $10 a semester (not sure, since I didn't have a car back then). By my graduate year, it was $30 a *month*. That's a 1400% increase. Oh, and I found out during my final year, that I was entitled to get a city resident parking sticker, which cost $8 for the year. My husband once got a parking ticket for parking where he was supposed to. The lot where he was supposed to park was for dorm residents only, so the parking stickers for that lot were printed with the letter R (for resident) on them. Only, that year the housing office screwed up and didn't print the R's. So some overzealous campus policeman went through that lot and ticketed EVERY SINGLE CAR for being parked illegally. Now, this was a gated lot, so you couldn't even get your car into the lot if you weren't entitled to park there. My husband fought the ticket and won, but I think a lot of people just paid them. 200 cars x $25 per car = a lot of donuts. As for cleaning the bathrooms every other day... all I have to say is, ewwww  |
I'd write letteR!!!

I’m just glad that I live off campus but I am still close enough to walk to class.
