Hi, Everyone!
I’m currently in the process of applying for Alumnae Initiation into Kappa Kappa Gamma as a complete newbie to both the organization and Greek Life on the whole. Headquarters kindly tried to point me toward my state’s alumnae association (Shoreline East Connecticut), but it appears to be in the middle of re-forming, so, unfortunately, there’s no way for me to get in contact with them at the moment.
Since I don’t have a local chapter to reach out to, I’m trying to build connections on my own, which, honestly, is a little tricky when you’re self-employed and not active on social media. That’s where this post comes in! I thought this forum might be a great place to find Kappa alumnae who’d be open to chatting, sharing their experiences, or offering a bit of guidance as I move forward in my application.
A little about me:
- I’m in my 30s and based in southeastern Connecticut.
- I never rushed in college, though I am an active alumna member of a Greek-letter honor society (Go Sigma Tau Delta!).
- Most of my volunteer work currently happens through recurring donations and local outreach; one of my goals in joining KKG is to expand that into more hands-on community engagement.
- I like to joke that my favorite hobby is picking up new hobbies, but my consistent favorites include knitting, reading, cozy gaming, and building mechanical keyboards.
If you’re a Kappa alumna open to connecting, however briefly, I’d be so grateful to hear from you.
Thanks in advance!
