Use a bike chain or something and tie it to a tree, lol. Just don’t fill a parking space where vehicles with four wheels park.

Yep. I was a commercial aviation major with a minor in space studies. They’re connected because aviation and astronomy rely a lot on physics, navigation, atmospheric science, and engineering.

LMAO! Motorcycles and bicycles aren’t the same thing. You just hate motorcycles, that’s what that is.

What would you put on the resume, CG? - I served peanuts and cleaned bathrooms on an airplane? LOL!

It was a busy weekend! Saturday, I cleaned the house and set up my raised garde beds and planted tomatoes and spaghetti squash. Then TKEGuy got here and we had steaks on the grill. Sunday morning we went to the Detroit Tigers game against Cleveland and our best pitcher did great. He pitched his first full game AND had a shut out (2 hitter). Big fun It was an 11:35 am game, which was weirdly early. We had breakfast before we went and weren't hungry at the ballpark so we had brats around 4 pm and then he left for home. I went for a bike ride then.
I got a new e-bike that has fat tires and a suspension post and fork and I love it I rode 5.3 miles Monday, 8 miles Sunday and then today rode 16.4.
Today, my Kiwanis Club was in the local Memorial Day parade, throwing candy to the kiddos. Then we gave away books and did some crafts with kids at the park. I came home and finished laundry and then headed out for my long ride. I rode along Lake Erie. It was a beautiful day!
I'm tired.

I was but then I stopped. Too graphic. I read something that caused me not to eat for two days. Seriously. I’m getting sick now reminding myself of it to post. Based on the information I know, there should be no reason that clown should walk, but I still think he will. He’s a sick person. He really is. He needs help.

If a motorcycle gets a whole parking spot, then so should my daughter’s pink bicycle with the glitter streamers. At least that one doesn’t wake the neighborhood or reek of overcompensation.

Nope. We had a cleaning crew on the ground that were responsible for cleaning the bathrooms. And when I was there, we had stopped serving peanuts. So there.

We all went to the zoo, went for a walk around the lake afterwards, and then we went home to eat. We just relaxed and had dinner outside on the balcony. It was a nice, relaxing holiday. Just the four of us.

You seriously had a Hallmark-level holiday weekend, Dee. I’m exhausted just reading it. I’m still not planting my tomato plants yet. I don’t trust Minnesota weather. I did that once thinking we were in the clear for summer, then it got cold and ruined my tomato plants. I was so mad.
I’m so happy you and TKEGuy are enjoying each other. I’ll bet after college, you didn’t see this coming — to be back together again.

Now I know why the pizza delivery guy was speechless! Lol

No peanuts? How does an airline not serve peanuts? I’d have gotten a refund if I asked for some peanuts and y’all didn’t have none Lol.

Bruh, CG had my frat TonyB06 speechless, dudes on an old photo thread on here speechless (long before I joined this site). Then I met her in person and I was speechless too. She probably got grown men bringing their dogs to the vet clinic just to stare, then forgetting what the dog even needed. Like, “Hold up, did my dog limp? Or was I limping?” LOL!
For real though, she’s even more stunning in person.

Oh wow, you’re both being way too nice. I definitely wasn’t trying to make anyone speechless. The pizza guy probably wasn’t stunned, he was probably just trying to figure out if staring counted as part of the tip, lol. But really, that’s such a sweet thing to say. Thank you. That honestly made me smile.

CG, I have a veterinary question for you. I read somewhere that one of the reasons dogs sniff each other's butts in greeting is that they're assessing each other's health and can pick up scents that indicate the other dog may be unhealthy and they should stay away. Is there any truth to this? I'm asking because Pippin has this funny behavior of running into a bathroom whenever he hears the toilet flush and sniffing the toilet for a couple seconds. Then he leaves. I'm trying to figure out if he's curious or attempting to assess our health, lol. He's such a character.

Yep, that’s actually true, Sciencewoman, to a degree. So, dogs gather a lot of information through their sense of smell, and so, the area under the tail, specifically the anal glands, it contains pheromones and other chemical markers that convey a dog’s identity, emotional state, reproductive status, and yes, potentially their health, too. It’s kind of like a biochemical snapshot. Know what I mean?
So like, when dogs greet each other by sniffing each other’s butts, they’re reading that data the way we might read a name tag, someone’s mood, and like medical chart all at once. If something smells off or just not right, like an infection or something, some dogs might avoid further interaction.
As for Pippin sniffing the toilet after a flush, I mean, it’s not unheard of. I don’t think it’s a conscious health screening on Pippin’s part though, but more like curiosity because of a sudden shift in smell. Toilets are full of interesting smells from a dog’s perspective, so he’s probably not diagnosing anyone, but I think it’s more like he’s associating the sound of the toilet flushing with the change in scent. Kind of like new data to process? If that makes sense.
Tell Pippin I said hi and that he’s such a sweetie! I wish I could hold him and hug him.

WIFLSRN: I am in so much pain. My right side, like my muscle or something really hurts. I was trying to help my techs put a Lab on the table this morning, and somehow as I turned, my feet stayed pointed in the other direction. Omg, it hurt so bad. So then I’m like “wincing” throughout the day because of the pain. As soon as I got home, I showered, got in bed, which is where I’ll probably be the rest of the day because it hurts to walk, like my right side. It even hurts to turn in bed.
