It’s funny how that works, right? I think opposites just complement each other. He keeps me grounded, and I keep things exciting. It’s a nice balance.
So, I read an article once that said opposites often attract because of “complementary traits”? Like, people are naturally drawn to qualities in others that balance out their own personality or provide something they subconsciously lack?
IMHO, I think it’s less about opposites attracting, though. I see it as more shared values over personality traits. So like, even if a couple is opposite in how they express themselves, like with your observation, one being outgoing, and the other not so much, they often still share deeper similarities — like core beliefs, goals, and priorities. I think that’s what really holds them together long-term. Know what I mean?

WIFLSRN: So, my daughter wanted to see Lion King today, since she was so adamant about seeing Sonic last night. The rest of my family didn’t mind seeing it again, lol.
How did I feel about the movie?
Me in the beginning of the movie:
Me in the beginning-middle of the movie: 🫤
Me past the middle of the movie: 😒
Me towards the end of the movie, until the end: 😴💤

No, the store she bought the gift from apparently has a COD option for purchasing things. Debit really isn't a thing here, so bank transfers and credit cards are the most popular ways to pay for things not using paper money. Transit cards can also be used in convenience stores and vending machines, and most people use an electronic version in their phone's wallet app.

That whole state should be it’s own country and call it Michigangstan, make Detroit the capital, the state bird a pit bull, and the official currency are loose cigarettes and Hennessy LOL!
You seen the potholes there? They’re big enough to set up jacuzzi jets in one, get your girls together, and chill LOL!

HILARIOUS @ the way your post reads, Dee. A conversation about car jackings in a Christmas song thread? lol. I’ll go look now.

No, I have never been to Jackson. Isn’t your dog an American Pit Bull Terrier, Phrozen? I could have sworn you posted that.

It's definitely infuriating at times, my bank card is a glorified cash card. But my usual finances just mean withdrawing money from my bank account to give to my wife to pay for rent/savings/any CC expenses I have on our shared card. My transit card is on my phone so I can use my card to put money on it via Apple Pay. Cash is still king here any ways and it's not odd to have the equivalent of several hundred dollars on your person at one time.
AND ANOTHER THING BANK OF JAPAN, WHY DO THE DIFFERENT BILLS HAVE DIFFERENT SIZES?! I feel like the foreign comedian complaining about kanji (the borrowed writing system from China)

Oh wow, I saw the full version, I can already head some of you laughing from over here.

You still hate Michigan! A couple years ago, I spoke at a conference in Detroit and the entire drive from the airport all I could think of was how you said the license plates should read "Pure $#!T" instead of "Pure Michigan!"

Dude, for real. You remember ol’ girl I called Sade I was dating back when I lived in Jackson? A friend of hers lived in Detroit and invited us to her church. I drove. The city of Detroit didn’t even bother plowing after a snowstorm that ended weeks ago, at the time. The snow must’ve just sat there. Then the car tracks would freeze solid, hard as a rock, and then all of a sudden my car wasn’t taking directions from me anymore. I was just along for the ride, PB. It for real felt less like driving and more like I’d accidentally boarded an Amtrak, except there were no stops until spring. I have never seen no shit like that in any city I’ve been in, and I’ve been through a lot of cities. Whatever the frozen tracks told my car to do, it did exactly that. Only in Detroit.
