Night Owls

KKG has a "young alumnae" group called "Night Owls" in many of the larger Alumnae Associations (like Boston).

I don't think the Night Owls program is a National initiative, so like DZ, different AAs around the country handle "young alumnae" groups differently.

I am a HUGE fan of the Night Owls program; it can be intimidating to be a 22 year old recent-grad attending AA events with mostly women who are 40 years older than you.

Don't get me wrong; I LOVE our older alumnae, and LOVE doing all kinds of things with them (meetings, Founder's Day, Holiday Dinners, Potlucks, etc.). But it is also great (and important) to have Kappa peers who are close to you in age.

I wish Kappa would--on a National level--do more to engage its recently graduated collegian members, and to help them make the transition from collegiate to alumna.

I'm glad to hear about ZTA's, ADPi's, and APhi's national young alumnae programs....y'all are ahead of the curve!
