My other rec girl pledged Kappa Kappa Gamma! She has a cousin in the chapter now. Her cousin is a sophomore--I wrote her rec last year. They are more like sisters than 1st cousins. Still waiting to hear about some others from my hometown and chapter sisters' relatives/friends.

I picked up a last minute reference gal out of La Jolla, California recruiting at Oregon. She is my cousin's best friend's daughter.

I'm a San Diegan and we all roll our eyes pretty hard at the rich people who live in the wealthy NEIGHBORHOOD of La Jolla. Those residents desperately want to pretend that they live in their own city; but, they don't. They live in the City of San Diego. La Jolla is merely a community/neighborhood within a larger incorporated city. For decades, they've been incorrectly writing "La Jolla, CA" on their postal mail and the USPS just delivers it because no one can really stop them from doing that. If they want to incorporate and become their own city, with their own mayor and public services, cool. But, until then, they live in SAN DIEGO.
