It was a NPC, the president at the time never gave me the paper she just e-mailed me saying "your request to terminate your membership has been granted by IHQ."
By saying "your request" it makes it sound like you resigned, which would be a different issue. You should definitely check into it as it has been suggested but resignation is different than termination.

That's not true in all groups. In mine, it doesn't matter whether you resign or are terminated. However, you can apply for re-instatement but it's a 10 year wait period.
