Wow, I'm shocked that someone else actually knows this song. I was in a theater group that did Chess my senior year of college, and no one had ever heard of the show. My boyfriend played Freddy, so he got to sing "One Night in Bangkok." It was hysterical. I'm glad that it brightened your day!

"I get my kicks above the waistline, sunshine."--That's my favorite part of the song, hehehehe. (For those of you not familiar with the musical Chess, written by Bjorn and Benny of ABBA and Tim Rice, Freddy sings this song while surrounded by Thai prostitutes. )
Our kids High School Theatre Company did Chess a few years ago and were chosen to perform it as a main stage production at the International Thespian Festival that year.

As you can imagine, there had to be a little "judicious editing" (although not as much as you might think), to perform this in a high school setting.

Great show. "Anthem" may be among the finest male solos in musical theatre history.
