Meeting Alumnae and Actives Prior to Rush?

justamom and kdonline--that's why I quit teaching high school Spanish and went back to teaching college Spanish--jerk parents! That's also why we told our oldest, a Spanish major, "If you go into education, we're not paying for yours."

Killarney, I have heard that there are many illegal summer rush parties in the South besides the "legal" ones, which are mostly Panhellenic parties anyway. I can remember when Panhellenic busted an illegal rush party at Baylor in the seventies and barred all the rushees they caught from pledging for a year, including (hehe) the meanest girl from my high school class.

Oh my gosh Carnation! I read this and got this vision of a bunch of alumnae and rushees hiding out in the woods somewhere having an illegal rush party and then the Panhel people descending on them with flashlights and badges drawn and making them pour all their punch on the ground! lol

Haha, as for the meanest girl from your high school class...every once in a great while what comes around DOES in fact come around!
