I read all about your chapter in Anchora, and let me tell you, I was very impressed! What a huge founding class you guys had!
As for CDCs, I say that you should go for it. Personally, I don't think it is for me (I wouldn't be able to live from a suitcase that long), but all of the CDCs I have met have been outstanding women and fine examples of DG sisters. Plus, you'll get to see the country and I think that you coming from a colony will be a different experience than most other CDCs have and it may give you and advantage! Let us know how it goes!
