I think that's sweet (with the GI Joe.) The thing about lavilering is that you have to think about it as an extension of the guy's feelings for you -- not just a promise ring. Meaning that he's sharing with you something that means SO MUCH to him -- I can't even imagine what it would take in a guy for me to give him MY letters. Makes a promise ring seem like nothing. :-) Of course I can say that -- I've never had either.
