Because I did not know that some of those activities still transpired on the alumnae level. I attended an alumnae step show a few months ago where all of the NPHC organizations participated in -it was nice!
Everyone did a good job, however, when your Delta sorors stepped they rocked. They marched out locked up, in all black, boots, and hats with your sorority's symbols on it. After they got into formation, another member came to mic and announced "Now the show may begin". Everybody went wild!!!
These women stepped hard... so much, that an older woman yelled "I taught them right"! After they finished the member at the mic then said "You have now seen 'Real Stepping' "
They then did a stroll off the song by Cheryl Lynn entitled "To be real", and did damage. It was so many of them strolling that they circled the auditorium. Even the guys were bobbing their heads, after that they marched off... that's alright.
