I was never a fan of pajamas to class. You can look neat and presentable without spending hours getting ready.
And it's just a good idea for your health and safety to not get sloppy drunk. Not to split hairs, but if you're a freshman, you're probably not 21 and a legal age to drink anyway. I'm sure nobody here drank underage (ahaahahahah).
Don't let a bad hair day keep you from going to class, but sure, why not put your best foot forward?

^^^This. It is good to always act as if someone is observing you. Trust me this presentation will serve you well in the workplace also.
Its ok to be casual to go to class. Unless you're attending a school with a bunch of fashion design majors, and they are sorority members then perhaps I would dress it up a little. But if that's not the culture of campus, then throwing your hair up in a bun, and wearing sweatshirts and jeans to class would be acceptable. I won't advocate going to class in your pajama bottoms. Nor do I advocate anyone going out in their PJ's if they are over the age of 6. The only acception to this is if you're going through a drive-thru then maybe...
Good luck to you when recruitment season comes around and let us know how things turn out.
