Umm...there IS a world out there where men tell women what to think, and there IS a world where society tells people what is beautiful (how to wear their hair, what clothes to wear, what weight to be, etc.). It's called THE WORLD WE LIVE IN NOW.
Why else would women alter their natural hair, eye color, weight, skin tone, etc.? Because we've been TOLD that anything but our natural selves is beautiful. Now, add 500 years of racial oppression onto that, and you have us having this very conversation about black people and "good" hair.
