Don't contact the sorority directly. There's no contact between members and PNMs before and during recruitment, except at parties and in class. You could give them a recruitment infraction and they WON'T appreciate it.
Besides doing what Titchou said, you can ask the people who wrote your references if they know someone in that organization that you need.
If you can't find someone locally, you can also check to see if there is alumnae association for that organization near the school and ask if they can help you.
