Okay...end rant...LOL
I can't stop laughing at this.. the woman in the office next to mine just came to see what was so funny. I commute into Philly every day on the train and happened to be sitting in one of the end four seats (most seats face the same way, but at the end they have two sets of seats facing each other.) A blind man got on and sat in the seat facing me and proceeded to MAJORLY pick his nose, like total nasal spelunking, all the way into the city with me there right in front of him AND he was in the seat that faced the whole car. I wanted to tell him "You're blind...not invisible!" I've never been so happy to get off the train.

I'm always baffled by people who hawk huge loogies onto the sidewalk, sometimes right in front of me - like really, you had to do that as you were approaching me? That completely makes me retch. And it's always a guy doing the hawking, too! I actually need to watch where I'm stepping while walking down the street because I would probably cry if I stepped into a big puddle of snot, and it is so prevalent down here.

Procrastination.
Swearing (I don't think this is at all classy, so I'm trying to cut down on it).
Nail biting.
Oh, and my boyfriend says I constantly twirl my hair when I'm nervous. Lol.

My ASL professor mentioned that d/Deaf people are typically audible about things that is considered socially unacceptable, particularly burping and farting. They can't hear either, and while they (eventually) realize both actions make noises, that many don't get that people consider it rude. I wonder if it's the same for blind people - they figure, I can't see you so I can't be seen, or that (for example) it doesnt matter if their clothes don't match because they can't see it to even know.

LISTEN. Don't come to NYC. This has always been my peeve but lately it's been driving me nuts. Stepping in loogies is one of the big reasons why I try to take my shoes off as SOON as I get home.

Well I suffer from Trichotillomania (chronic hair pulling) and Dermatillomania (chronic skin picking). Both are in the newest DSM. They are types of OCD's. They are recognized disorders (like depression, bipolar, etc...) so I'm not sure I would actually classify them as "bad habits".

One major true bad habit I suffer from is procrastination. OMG I am the BIGGEST procrastinator.

Me too.... there is NO WAY I'm tracking whatever filth I've stepped in into the house. Husband doesn't get it, but then, he works in the suburbs and just walks from his car into his building!

(Don't get me started on people who put their handbags on the floor of the train...)

Or people who set their bags down. In the bathroom! Yuck!

Tuesday will be 7 months without a cigarette. DrPhil's bullying finally got to me

New bad habit: Cough drops. I consume an inexcusable amount. Cheaper than smokes, though.

Yep. Guess who's gotten an extension on her taxes for the past five years? And is currently waiting for a call from her accountant for this years?
