Major thread bump

Major thread bump.

Do any of you know people with GROSS habits that they display in public?

This is barf worthy but I know 2 people who obsessively and MAJORLY pick their noses in public. One person will sit there during a meeting or event and pick his nose---and will stay in one nasal-spot when he's found a booger and pick it out---and then EAT the booger in front of everyone. Sometimes he will put the boogers on a coat or something.

I am not lying.

This reminds me of a former friend from college. He would visit me in my room and tell me about the newest guys he is dating. Then if we were looking at my laptop he would wipe snot off of his (not the guy he's dating's) nose and put the snot on my bed sheets. I guess he assumed I wouldn't notice. Gross.

I remember when I had a terrible cold and I was in the drive-thru at McDonald's getting a salad. I had a tissue and was in the rear view mirror attacking my nostrils with the tissue. It was crucial. LOL. I turned around and the woman who brought the salad to the window was staring at me like "okay, bitch, damn...your nose gets the point" She rolled her eyes and dropped the salad by the drive-thru window.

Okay...end rant...LOL

I can't stop laughing at this.. the woman in the office next to mine just came to see what was so funny. I commute into Philly every day on the train and happened to be sitting in one of the end four seats (most seats face the same way, but at the end they have two sets of seats facing each other.) A blind man got on and sat in the seat facing me and proceeded to MAJORLY pick his nose, like total nasal spelunking, all the way into the city with me there right in front of him AND he was in the seat that faced the whole car. I wanted to tell him "You're blind...not invisible!" I've never been so happy to get off the train.

I'm always baffled by people who hawk huge loogies onto the sidewalk, sometimes right in front of me - like really, you had to do that as you were approaching me? That completely makes me retch. And it's always a guy doing the hawking, too! I actually need to watch where I'm stepping while walking down the street because I would probably cry if I stepped into a big puddle of snot, and it is so prevalent down here.

My ASL professor mentioned that d/Deaf people are typically audible about things that is considered socially unacceptable, particularly burping and farting. They can't hear either, and while they (eventually) realize both actions make noises, that many don't get that people consider it rude. I wonder if it's the same for blind people - they figure, I can't see you so I can't be seen, or that (for example) it doesnt matter if their clothes don't match because they can't see it to even know.

LISTEN. Don't come to NYC. This has always been my peeve but lately it's been driving me nuts. Stepping in loogies is one of the big reasons why I try to take my shoes off as SOON as I get home.

Me too.... there is NO WAY I'm tracking whatever filth I've stepped in into the house. Husband doesn't get it, but then, he works in the suburbs and just walks from his car into his building!

(Don't get me started on people who put their handbags on the floor of the train...)

Or people who set their bags down. In the bathroom! Yuck!
