The book really drives home that Carrie isn't attractive or liked, and having the gorgeous Chloe Moretz as Carrie takes away a ton of that impact. Spacek was weird and perfect in the role because she did look like an oddball.
Chloe Moretz would've been better as Chris Hargenson than Carrie. She even resembles Nancy Allen a bit.
