Lucy called me this morning and we discussed her schedule. She was a bit upset because she hadn’t been invited back to the possible 9. I’m thinking “oh god she got really heavy cuts”, she was invited back to 8. She was just comparing herself to her roommate who actually had to “drop” a house or two (she was invited back to more than 9). I told her that she got a GREAT schedule and that she should be thrilled to being invited back to 8. I told her that I could almost guarantee that some one in her group didn’t get that many. I then asked her who invited her back and what she thought about all of them going into this next round.

Peeta: she said that she felt comfortable at this house and that the girls were really easy to talk to.

Primrose: she actually liked that this chapter is a bit on the smaller side. She felt that they were also really easy to talk to.

Gale: one of her favorites after the first round. She felt special because the president came up and introduced herself and she had heard that that is a “good sign”. She did rank them in her bottom 3.

Johanna: her roommate is in this chapter, so she really likes them.

Cato: she ranked this chapter in the bottom. She was kind of bummed to see them on her list again for this round. I asked her why and she said that the conversations were strained for her. I advised her to keep an open mind.

Wiress: she also ranked Wiress as on her bottom chapters. Just like Cato, I advised her to keep an open mind.

Glimmer: Glimmer is her favorite so far. She loves everything about this chapter. She feels incredibly comfortable in this house. She said that she feels that she could be her “silly, goofy” self in this chapter.

Rue: Lucy didn’t have much to say about Rue. I’m not sure if they just weren’t memorable to her or what.

Before we hung up, I encouraged her to have a great day and to just keep an open mind.

Lucy gave me a call this evening to let me know how her round went.

Primrose- she said this house was “okay” and felt that the conversations were forced.

Glimmer- she still LOVES this house, but had a oop’s moment. She didn’t realize until the end of the party that she was chewing gum the entire party. She is worried that she will be dropped because of it. I encouraged her not to think that way and I wouldn’t be surprised if what happened to her has 1) happened to other PNM’s and 2) to the actives. I told her that they probably didn’t even notice.

Gale- Lucy was actually glad to have had a chance to talk to the sisters from this chapter again. She liked them a lot more today.

Johanna- Lucy said that her party with Johanna was interesting because her roommate was the one who “picked her up”. The laughed about it, because it was random, as the chapter doesn’t know they are roommates. They “pretended” that they didn’t know each other. Lucy was a bit paranoid that they would get caught. Again, I advised her not to stress about it too much, because I think her roommate will vouch for her.

Rue- she felt like they could have cared less about her.

Peeta- Peeta is another of her favorites. She felt that the girls are really friendly and they had good conversations.

Cato & Wiress- she felt that the conversations with these two chapters were drawn out, hard to get going and there was a lot of silence.

Lucy can be invited back to a maximum of 6 parties tomorrow. She plans to rank Cato, Wiress.

She is worried about not getting invited back to 6 parties. She mentioned that last year she was only invited back to 3 in this round.

I then gave her the positive to it, that of the 8 chapters she went back to, there are really only 2 that she cannot see herself in right now and that is Cato and Wiress. I also told her that if she happens to see Cato and Wiress on her party schedule tomorrow that she needs to look at it this way “they see something in you that makes them feel that you would make an excellent Cato and Wiress” and that she has only met a small portion of the chapter. Once I put it in those terms, she was like “your right”. She is still nervous, understandably.

She gets her schedule tomorrow at 6am (man that is god awful early). I told her to call me, if she needs to, as soon as she got her schedule.
