This story really hurts my heart. Jordan's mother, Lucia McBath, is also one of my Sorors.
I have been heavily following this since it happened. I'm hoping that this will get more coverage in the next few weeks with the court case happening at the end of the month. I agree this is vastly different from the Trayvon Martin case. I can't believe they are trying to use "Stand your Ground" laws on this one.

I didn't know his mother is a Soror. Thanks for telling me. Silence in these types of cases can sometimes be a good thing. It can mean things are working out without the public having to outcry like the Martin case.

Jury has reached a verdict on all counts

I am watching CNN and the jury just walked out "with a verdict".

Then the jury announced it is deadlocked.

The jury was sent out of the courtroom and the judge explained to Michael Dumbass that for one count (count 1) there will be declared a mistrial.

Verdict for counts 2-5:
GUILTY

This was followed by a jury count.

Go to hell, Michael Dumbass.

Lucia McBath is an amazing woman. She gave an interview to Ta-Nehisi Coates and it was heart-breaking.
