Wash it every other day or every two days for six weeks. My hair looks better, produces less oil, doesn't need as much product, and is easier to manage.

Ew not washing it for six weeks? I mean I'm from Oregon, but I'm not at kind of hippie.

LOL. I thought I'd check because I saw some celebrity hairdresser on TV talking about he hadn't used shampoo on his hair in years, shampoo is bad, etc. I wrote that off, but I wondered if there was more to it!

I wash my hair every other day, and I agree with you.

Not using shampoo every day is AWFUL for me. I understand it works for some people, but even if I take a shower at 3:00pm and wake up at 6:00am the next day for work, my hair looks terrible and is extremely oily.

My last boss would go a week without using shampoo or conditioner and her hair would still look great. I hated her.

Tripe and chitterlings/ chitlins. I will knock them til the end because I will not try them. Ditto to cottage cheese.

I did knock jello for the longest. It's not half bad. Probably wont catch me eating it though.

Thai iced tea: thought it was the weirdest thing because I don't like milk in my tea. Now, yum! I just can't have too much at once.

I knocked and tried bubble tea. Still gross. As you can tell I haves thing with textured foods.

I read about something called the "no-poo" movement. The premise is your hair will look great and be healthier than ever if you stop using shampoo- following a 4 week adjustment period. I don't think I could handle the 4 week adjustment period

Is that Wen? I have a couple friends who use it and one gave me some to try. I haven't tried it yet, though.

I don't think so... I think most people participating in no-poo only use baking soda and apple cider vinegar.

I had to use some kind of skin treatment for my head for a while and could wash my hair with anything other than water for two weeks. Since then, I don't really need to wash my hair more often than once every 5 days, it doesn't get greasy anymore (I don't use product usually). If I wash it every day, or every other day it gets all dry and weird now.

They reviewed some of the TV infomercial products on the Today Show Th or F this week. Wen got a "3 out of 3" ranking. They said it worked great, but it doesn't lather so it takes some getting used to.

TELL ME ABOUT IT.

For about two years after my ill-fated attempt at blood donation, I got phone calls and letters all the time notifying me of upcoming blood drives and begging me to donate. My parents had to field a lot of these calls as I'd gone off to college (my one donation was at a drive held at my high school - the minimum age to donate blood in New York is 17, so all the seniors and some of the juniors were eligible, as were all the faculty and staff, unless they were ineligible for some other reason).

I feel kinda bad. Someday, I may need a blood transfusion, and O-neg is always in short supply, and I can't take any other blood type. At the same time, if I'm going to pass out when I give blood ... um, no thank you. Like I said, I'll donate for immediate family, but that's where I draw the line.

Anchovies -- not the canned stuff. First tried them in Spain & they were delicious!
Bacon sundae (vanilla ice cream, chocolate syrup, carmel syrup, crumbled bacon, whipped cream). Of course it was at the Fair. (Though I'd probably try ANYTHING with bacon!)

So, I'm not saying this in any way to pressure anyone to donate blood. But, fwiw, I have donated many times, and I did pass out once. It was really quite random, neither the first nor the last time that I've donated. Every other time has been fine. So, while I am sure there are some people who will have problems each and every time they donate, it's also possible to have a one-off type of situation. If the first time I had donated had been the time I passed out, I doubt I'd be very keen on trying again! But, just wanted to throw it out there that just because you pass out once, doesn't mean you will pass out every time.

Nom nom I've only had anchovies as part of a properly prepared Caesar salad (raw egg and all), but they add just the right touch of flavor.
