Thanks! The interview went well - he ended by saying "I like what I heard" and he didn't even blink at my current salary. On top of just NOT.BEING.HERE. (my current job), this one is LESS than 3 miles from my house, a much bigger company with room for growth, and a much more focused position. While I do like the variety of my current job, it sucks that because of the variety, my boss expects me to have my nose in everything. She's such a busybody noseypants.

I GOT A SECOND INTERVIEW!!!
I'm excited since he told me in the last interview that he had just started the process, so I can't imagine he's seen many other people. But I'm also a bit scared, and not about the interview...as much as I loathe my current employment (and I do), I've been here over 8 years, and this would be my first ever "adult" job change. It's going from safe and steady (I'd pretty much have to commit a felony against my company to get fired) to the unknown.

Let me make sure I'm understanding this correctly....you've passed me over for a promotion, not once, not twice, but three times...and now that these people have screwed up royally and the partners are screaming, you want me to wave my magic wand and magically fix things?!? Oh, and the screw ups are so epically critical you call me on a day off to beg me to come in early the rest of the week and work this weekend?! Go pound sand; as soon as my background check comes back, I'm giving notice and taking a new job. Cannot wait.
