2 episodes ago, Abby gave solos to both Maddie and Chloe. What she didn't tell the moms or the girls (in the beginning) was that she gave them the exact same solo. She wanted to prove once and for all to Christy that Maddie was a better dancer than Chloe. What I noticed is that the solo was geared towards Maddie's strengths as a dancer. In any case, Maddie fell out of one of her turns during her solo (I'm not a dancer so I didn't notice this) and Chloe was flawless. When she left the stage, Maddie was extremely upset and even pushed MacKenzie and refused to hug her when she was trying to console her. Chloe won the competition and Maddie got 2nd. Later in the dressing room, a judge came to tell them that due to a scoring error, Maddie really won and Chloe got 2nd. The judge then thanked Abby for reviewing the scores and bringing it to their attention. Chloe was gracious and even through her tears, she gave the 1st place plaque to Maddie and congratulated her while Abby gloated.

It was horrible to watch this. I have never understood why Abby hates Chloe so much. Yes the moms are annoying and petty but to take it out on their daughters is beyond insane.

I have to admit that this season, so far, is kind of lame. I mean, following the Candy Apples has made the storyline kind of stale for me. Sure, I'll watch it but, I really want to see the drama (yes, I just admitted to that) of the moms at Abby Lee Miller's dance studio. What do you all think?

Tonight is another Candy Apples episode. I'll be tuning out. BORING!
