Update! I asked him [over text...I'm awkward]. He said yes and was actually really great/excited about it so I'm pretty excited. Sorry I stuck DTR in there without definition...I'm always the one googling stuff, so I don't know why I thought everyone else should know it!
And seriously, y'all have much nicer favors/things involved in formal than we do! We don't do favors, but we do have open bar at a nice location (and we live in a very expensive city, so I can't imagine it comes cheap).
