I remember a few announcements and emails, but I wasn't particularly sad about it. I never found anything there I actually liked--it all seemed a little dated and needed updating.

Sadly, I didn't get any emails about it. Maybe it was written into an article that I didn't read.

I can understand that. I do know that I had a couple of items in my cart, so it surprises me that I didn't get a notice. There were a few things that I really loved, and of course, don't see on anything of the approved sites now. The beanie-type Alphies come to mind.

All that said, I'm always sad to see a "mom & pop" type store close, and a chain or webstore takes its place.
